Yep! We have upgraded Antares to Minecraft 1.2.4 since the server software is actually quite stable now and no obviously horrible exploits or show-stopper bugs.
There are a few plugins which are STILL offline or buggy (like the Statistics) but they are not considered the 'core' plugins. We have also opened Pangea! This world is going to be the kind of 'public mine' that we use to have in the spawn. We plan to reset the world every few weeks or so to ensure people have easy access to resources. As an added bonus, the Pangea portal is located right next to a large jungle! You can go find yourself an Ocelot to tame, but bring some fish and remember to sneak!.
Have Fun with the new toys!
So we've had Spout on the server for quite some time now but we have recently added a lot of new things which require Spout. Some of these are the Factions now show capes for the leaders and now we have custom music discs so you can listen to your favorite tracks. And, best of all, we have the icecream cone item for those using Spout!
Go get Spout now
During Halloween, Herobrine rose from the dead and brought an army of undead minions to slaughter the peaceful residents of Antares City.
Police Chief Wiggum was quick to respond to this threat and formed a militia to fend off the attacks while businesses were stocking weapons and ammunition for defense of the city. The battle raged throughout the night with constant reinforcements from Herobrine. Many residents lost their lives in this heroic fight of good vs evil and their sacrifice will not be forgotten.
As the sun rose over the horizon, many undead minions burst into flames forcing them back into the underworld. After cleaning up the remaining few zombies and giants, Businesses and Residents sent Herobrine a message, "Don't mess with Antares!". Life has started to return to normal and traders are back in the streets seling their produce. Chief Wiggum wishes to thank each and every person for their service to the city and invites everyone to the bar for a drink.
Minecraft is designed so that when a player logs into any server, the server contacts Mojang to verify the player has paid for the game. However, these authentication servers often go offline either through being overloaded or because of attacks. When this happens, you will get errors like "Took too long to login" or "endOfStream". Those errors are not caused by Antares but Mojang not responding to our request to verify your account status. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about these errors and have to wait for Mojang to sort things out.

We broke this with 1.2 though so its not true.
